Variables resetUserVar

$resetUserVar[]

$resetUserVar restores server/member variables to their default value, or removes stored values if no default is defined. Without a User ID it resets every stored member value; with a User ID it resets only that user’s member values. Global-user values used by $getVar[name;User ID] are preserved.

Syntax

bdfd
$resetUserVar[name] or $resetUserVar[name;User ID]

Existing bots without a completed variable migration retain their legacy reset behavior until migrated.

When called with only a name, it resets the variable for the current command author. When a User ID is provided, it resets the variable for that specific user.

This function is useful for seasonal resets, clearing temporary data, or reverting a user’s settings to their defaults. After resetting, subsequent calls to $getUserVar will return the default value (if defined) or an empty string. This function does not return any output.

Examples
